Our Story

How Kinaree Came to Be

Kinaree began with a simple observation: families navigating long-term care for a loved one often found themselves choosing between places that were medically proficient but felt cold, and settings that felt warmer but couldn't support more complex needs. There was little in between.

The people behind Kinaree — a team with backgrounds in geriatric nursing, social work, and residential care design — set out to close that gap. Located along Phetkasem Road in Nong Khaem, Bangkok, the home was designed from the ground up to feel like a residence first, and a care setting second.

Since opening, we have supported individuals navigating palliative conditions, couples who wanted to remain together through different care journeys, and families working through the decision of whether residential care is the right step for their family member.

Care Director

Brings over eighteen years in geriatric nursing and residential care management across Bangkok. Oversees care planning and staff development at Kinaree.

Krisana Wongsak

Family Liaison & Consultant

Specialises in supporting families through care transitions. Leads the Family Transition Consultation sessions with sensitivity and practical clarity.

Nattaya Apirak

Senior Care Coordinator

Coordinates day-to-day care across the home, managing schedules, external medical appointments, and resident wellbeing reviews on a continuous basis.

Our Standards and Approach

These are the practices and principles that shape care at Kinaree day to day — not aspirational statements, but working methods.

Individual Care Planning

Each resident has a documented care plan developed jointly with the resident, their family, and any external medical practitioners. Plans are reviewed at regular intervals and after any significant change.

Safety and Safeguarding

All staff complete safeguarding training before working with residents. The home follows Thai Ministry of Public Health residential care guidelines and undergoes periodic external review.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Resident information is handled with strict confidentiality. Access to personal and medical records is limited to directly responsible staff members and authorised family contacts.

Open Communication

Families receive regular updates and can request a care conference at any time. We prefer transparent, unhurried conversations over formal reports read in isolation.

Staffing Continuity

We aim for consistent staff assignment so residents build familiarity with the people caring for them. Frequent rotation is avoided wherever possible.

Environment and Wellbeing

The home includes garden access, natural light, and communal spaces that allow choice between social time and quiet. Meals are prepared with attention to both nutrition and preference.

Bangkok's residential care sector has grown considerably in recent years, yet finding a home that combines professional clinical support with a genuinely human environment remains a challenge for many families. Kinaree addresses this by operating at a size that allows real attention to each resident — small enough to know people well, experienced enough to manage complex care requirements.

Located in the Nong Khaem district along Phetkasem Road, the home is accessible from central Bangkok and well positioned for families in the western and southwestern parts of the city. Our team communicates comfortably in Thai and English, supporting both local and internationally connected families.
